316/316L stainless steel(Din1.4401/1.4404 or ASTM S31600/31603) is an austenitic stainless steel. Performance of 316/316L stainless steel wire mesh
Corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance is better than 304/304L stainless steel wire mesh, with good corrosion resistance in the production of pulp and paper. Moreover, 316/316L stainless steel wire mesh is also resistant to erosion by marine and aggressive industrial atmospheres.
Heat resistance
316/316L stainless steel wire mesh (06Cr17Ni12Mo2) has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use below 871C (1600F) and continuous use above 927C (1700F). In the range of 427C - 857C (800F - 1575F), it is preferable not to continuously use 316 stainless steel, but when 316/316L stainless steel wire mesh is continuously used outside this temperature range, the stainless steel has good heat resistance.
