Nichrome Wire Mesh

Nichrome wire mesh, also called nickel-chromium wire mesh, is an alloy made by mixing nickel, chromium and iron.

Nichrome alloy are known for its heat resistance as well as corrosion and oxidation resistance and are very useful in many applications. From industrial manufacturing to hobby, nichrome in the form of wire exists in a range of commercial products, crafts and tools.

Nickel-chromium advantages:

High temperature strength is higher than iron chromium aluminum, it is not easy to deform under high temperature, its structure is not easy to change, plasticity is good, easy to repair, its emissivity is high, non-magnetic, strong corrosion resistance, long service life, etc.

Nickel-chromium disadvantages:

Due to the use of scarce nickel metal materials, the price of this series of products is up to several times higher than iron chromium aluminum,and the operating temperature is lower than iron chromium aluminum.

Cr15Ni60 Cr20Ni80Cr20Ni35

Nichrome80-20 wire mesh, also known as Cr20Ni80 wire mesh, is a resistor suitable for use at high operating temperatures.Due to the combination of high resistance and low resistance temperature coefficients, a wide range of resistances have been found. Nickel-chromium wire cloth is often found in electric furnaces, radiant heaters, and other electrical industry applications.

Nichrome 35-20 wire mesh, also called Cr20Ni80 wire mesh, is very suitable for high operating temperatures and still has good strength at temperatures up to 1900F.It is ideal for use in sulfur, lead or zinc contaminated environments. In industrial, mechanical properties are more important than corrosion resistance.

Nichrome 60-16 wire mesh, also known as Cr20Ni80 wire mesh, is ideal for high operating temperatures up to 1950F. This nickel-chromium alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Commonly used in electrical heating, industrial resistance devices, pickling baskets, filter cloths and other applications.
