Overiew

United Insulation Formaldehyde-Free blankets are lightweight, thermal and acoustical insulation made of long, resilient glass fibers bonded with an acrylic thermosetting Formaldehyde-Free binder. The products are available unfaced or with kraft, foil, or flame-rated FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft) foil facings.
United Insulation Formaldehyde-Free insulation could be wrapped in non-woven fabrics or cplastic for a more comfortable installation with less itch and dust. The plastic facer also serves as a vapor retarder and also with plastic facing that does not act as a vapor retarder, for use in hot, humid climates.
United Insulation Formaldehyde-Free blankets offer superior thermal and acoustical performance and improve indoor air quality, because it’s made without formaldehyde. It’s ideal for small insulation applications throughout the home, including around windows, doors and gaps around air conditioners, outlet boxes and pipes. It is unfaced and cuts easily with a pair of scissors or knife.

Applications

Blankets are particularly useful in long runs between ceiling or floor joists and for areas requiring longer insulation. Blankets are primarily used for insulating unfinished walls in basements and crawl spaces.
