Absorbabale Suture.The Braided construction ensures that handling
and knotting are excellent and the unique lubricant coating remains
effectively bonded to the material throughout its use,ensuring
smooth passage through tissue and easy knot tie down.The unique
molecular structure of Coated Zaife-Glactin allows it to retain
strength during the critical wound healing period,Yet,be absorbed
rapidly after the suture has served its function.Coated
ZAIFE-GLACTIN is also available in undyed form,specially for
cuticular and plastic surgery.
Braided
Handling and knotting are excellent.Superior braid eliminates
fraying.
Synthetic
ZAIFE-GLACTIN Synthetic absorbable suture is prepared from a
copolymer of glcolide and lactide,which are derived from glycolic
and lactic acids respectively.Coated ZAIFE-GLACTIN Sutures are
prepared by coating the zaife-glactin(Polyglactin 910) suture
materials with a mixtutre of equal parts of a co-polymer of
Glycolide and Lactide (Polyglactin 370) and Calcium Stearate.This
allows coated zaife-glactin to retain its smooth tying properties
under all surgical conditions.This ensures precise placement of
knot in presence of knot in presence of body fluids.Passage through
tissue is smmoth.
Wound support
Coated Zaife-Glactin sutures are strong,over twice as strong as
equivalent gauges of Chromic Catgut at implantation.Studies show
that approxiamtely 40% at 21 days.It provides wound support for
upto 28-30 days.
Absorption
By Hydrolysis.Predictable and with minimal tissue
reaction.Absorption is on an average complete in 63 days.
Colour
Available in a distinct Violet colour for superior visibility in
wound.Also available in Undyed form for cuticular and plastic
surgery.
