Mine Cable Transition Resistance Testing Equipment / Test Apparatus
ZY6221 Mine Cable Transition Resistance Tester is a special
instrument for testing the transition resistance of rubber soft
mineral cable. The instrument uses electric sampler to
automatically display the transition resistance value and
corresponding phase in the instrument with symbols and figures. It
is convenient for sampling and reliable for testing. It is suitable
for cable plants, mines, power transmission, scientific research
and other units. It is a necessary instrument for quality
inspection of mine cable products.
In order to use the equipment safely and correctly and give full
play to its role, please read the instructions carefully before
using the equipment.
2. Functional Characteristics
The instrument is divided into two parts: electrical test and
mechanical transmission mechanism.
(1) Electrical test part: Microcomputer control, no mechanical
potentiometer, test current automatic tracking adjustable output.
LED digital display, with unit, decimal point and overload
Automatically detect the cable phase and display it with A, B and C

4. Sample Preparation
Except for the products in GB/T 12972.3 standard, take one
insulated shielded cable or monitoring cable of arbitrary length
and peel off the front of the cable with a knife to expose the
sample shielded power line conductor (or monitoring line
The products in the GB/T 12972.3 standard can be either full length
or at least 5m. At one end of the sample, a conductor and a
concentric conductor are exposed. At the other end of the sample,
the concentric conductor is stripped and bent outward, and the
semi-conductive layer on the insulation is exposed at least 0.1m.
After sampling, clamp the sample with cable clamp.
5. Test Procedure
(1) Phase Discrimination
Three connecting wires are used to connect the back pink
(positive), yellow (positive) and green (positive) terminals of the
tester to three shielded power core conductors respectively. The
grounding wires of the phase discriminant wires are connected to
the hand drill of the metal needle (the phase discriminant wires
are connected outside the hand drill, pay attention to reliable
connection). Open the power switch and press the front panel.
"Discrimination" key, with a diameter of less than 1.5mm metal
needle into the cable, such as the instrument front panel indicator
light, the phase has been selected accurately. If the front panel
indicator is not on, re-insert the cable with a metal needle less
than 1.5mm in diameter until the front panel indicator is on. After
selecting the accuracy, it can enter the test step. When judging
the phase of UYPTJ cable, three connecting wires are used to
connect the rear red (positive), yellow (positive) and green
(positive) phases into the metal shield of the ground wire
respectively, and the judgment is made by pressing the
(2) Test Procedure
Select a good phase, remove the drill (gently pull up, you can
drill down), keep the probe. The selected sample shielded power
core conductor (or monitoring core conductor) and grounding core
conductor are connected to the positive and negative poles of the
back plate of the instrument respectively.
In the free state of the sample, press the front panel test range
keys (20K, 2K) to measure the resistance of the circuit.
(3) Test points for each power cord and core for monitoring (except
for products in GB/T 12972.3 standard).
For the products in GB/T 12972.3 standard, the exposed conductor
ends are connected to the terminals of the rear panel (A
(positive), B (positive) and C (positive) of the resistor with
yellow, green and red connecting wires respectively. The probe of
the drill is connected to the other terminal (N (ground)) by a
black connecting line. The probe is vertically pressed on the
exposed semi-conductive layer. The pressure is (30±5) N (controlled
by hand). The resistance of the circuit is measured by pressing the
front panel test range keys (20kΩ, 2KΩ). The distance is 20 mm, and
5 values are measured.
The probe of the drill has two metal needles not larger than 1.5 mm
and a diameter of 5mm copper and zinc needles. When using a metal
needle less than 1.5 mm, insert the probe into the hand drill and
the metal needle into the probe provided by the instrument. When
using the metal needle of 5 mm, insert the metal needle probe with
5mm into the hand drill. The probe should be inserted in the end,
and the hand drill has a self tightening device. The products in
GB/T 12972.3 standard use 5 mm copper and zinc needles, while other
products use metal needles with diameter less than 1.5 mm. Gently
pull up and you can drill down. When testing products in the GB/T
12972.3 standard, do not remove the drill.
6. Test Results And Treatment
The arithmetic average value of five measured values for products
in GB/T 12972.3 standard shall not exceed the specified value of

7. Points For Attention In The Experiment
Discrimination and testing should be carried out separately, and
the hand drill must be removed to retain the metal needle (except
When testing products in the GB/T 12972.3 standard, use the range
2KΩ file. Test the other products using the range 20KΩ file.
The hand drill has the function of positive and negative rotation.
The positive probe is inserted into the cable and the metal needle
with diameter less than 1.5mm is removed by reverse rotation. The
switch is on the upper part of the hand drill.
After use, the front panel test button must be reset, and turn off
the power supply.
The measurement error of 2KΩ gear and 20KΩ gear of this instrument
is not more than (±0.5%Rd±20d) 200KΩ gear.
The rear panel has three positive terminal posts (red (positive),
yellow (positive), green (positive), a negative black terminal,
drilling power supply, etc. The "discrimination" key of the front
panel range switch is the discrimination function, the 2KΩ gear and
20KΩ gear are the test function, and the display displays the
measured values. The measurement shows "1" and the measured data
exceed the range (or the connection is not connected well).
The function of the cable clamp is to make the sample straight and
convenient to test.
When the power is turned off, the instrument displays different
data when it is not tested.
